Reviews -Went to see Wicked this weekend at the Peace Center, and we decided to try Charlies steakhouse before we went to see the show. The food was outstanding. The group i was with absolutely loved everything about the place. It turns out that Charlies has been open since the 1920's and knows how to serve some good food. Everything tasted excellent. We had 2 servers, one for just drinks, and the other for our food. Both were very professional. We had desert which was delicious. Salad dressing were great also. This is a must eat place for Greenville, SC Gene Halle TripAdvisor.com -Charlies Steak House is most definately the best place in Greenville to get a REAL steak. The steaks are huge, and very tasty. They are served on a sizzling platter. I had the Onion Rings and French Fries which were very very fresh.I take my date to Charlies when we are REALLY HUNGRY.. And, they have the very best French Fries and Onion Rings! Our evening was truely remarkable-- the wait staff was very much worth the tip we left them. There were lovely tablecloths and cloth napkins at every table and, the band on Friday and Saturday nights liven things up!! And, the dessert was exceptional! We were told that the Baklava, the Key Lime Pie, and all the desserts, were homemade-we could tell!! If you haven't been there, you should try it. No wonder we were told that it is the ''Oldest Steak House still run by the same family in South Carolina''!!
